Federal Reserve’s Mergers and Applications Process Gets New Technology Platform

The Federal Reserve recently replaced its long-time bank application filing system, E-Apps, with a new and upgraded system, FedEZFile™. FedEZFile™ successfully launched on October 17, 2022. While the substantive requirements of the application process remain the same, the new system is designed to minimize paper applications and communications, provide an intuitive filing experience and enhance transparency. Through FedEZFile™, Federal Reserve System staff will be able to deliver official and related correspondence — all electronically.

With an authorized account, users can upload and access relevant documents, view and download Federal Reserve-generated documents, track key processing dates and identify Federal Reserve staff assigned to the filing. To assist FedEZFile™ users, the Federal Reserve has developed a companion learning resource, FedEZFile Fluent™, that provides written and video guidance on how to register, access and use the new system.
