Taylor Pessin

Taylor Pessin is an intermediate research analyst on the Richmond Fed's Regional and Community Analysis team. One of her main areas of focus is on community development finance, where she focuses on gleaning new insights from the Federal Reserve's national survey of community development financial institutions.

Pessin joined the Richmond Fed in 2024, after earning a bachelor’s degree in public policy and economics from Georgia State University. During her academic journey, she centered her coursework around housing and economic policy, looking closely at the economic and spatial relationships that influence housing affordability and residential segregation. While pursuing her degree, Pessin worked in higher education and completed a research internship with the US Water Alliance's Water Equity Network.
