Vinh Phan

Vinh Phan is a research associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. Phan graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in economics. His research interests include labor economics, the economics of education and public policy.

As a second-year associate, Phan has collaborated with several economists at the Richmond Fed. He has supported Alexander Wolman in his modeling of the relationship between relative price shocks and inflation, as well as Wolman's work on the relationship between inflation and the distribution of relative price changes, and on discretionary monetary policy. He has also helped Zhu Wang study the changing buyer-agent real estate commission rates in metropolitan areas, and consumer payments and payment systems.
