Vinh Phan
Vinh Phan is a research associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. Phan graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in economics. His research interests include labor economics, the economics of education and public policy.
As a first-year associate, Phan has collaborated with several economists at the Richmond Fed. He has supported Alexander Wolman in his research on the relationship between relative price shocks and inflation, and on monetary policy choice modeled with a DSGE model. He has also helped Andreas Hornstein study government bond maturity and Zhu Wang investigate factors that lead to changing buyer-agent real estate commission rates in metropolitan areas.
