Diverse Economics Conference
Diversity in economics is critical to ensuring that the right questions are being asked, yet less than 25 percent of economists are people of color, and no more than 30 percent of career economists are women.
The fourth annual Diverse Economics Conference (DivEc) introduced college students to women and people of color who are succeeding in the economics field. Students also received insight on the many career paths one can take. Students had the opportunity to network with economists and other professionals in the field, hear about graduate school, public and private sector careers and Fed internships.
