Conference Recap
2023 Diverse Economics Conference (DivEc)
More than 100 college students attended the fifth annual Diverse Economics Conference (DivEc), which featured keynote speaker Ebonya Washington, the Laurans A. and Arlene Mendelson Professor of Economics and professor of international and public affairs at Columbia University.
Students from University of Richmond, Virginia Commonwealth University, Virginia State University, Georgetown University, Howard University, University of Florida, Bowdoin College, University of North Carolina and more than 20 other institutions heard from speakers from a variety of backgrounds who are pursuing unique careers in economics.
They also networked with professionals working in the field and learned about opportunities for undergraduate students and early career talent at the Richmond Fed.
The DivEc Conference was hosted by the Richmond Fed in partnership with the Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond and the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University.
